VOLTERNO MOTION ASSIST CART

LIMITED ONE-YEAR WARRANTY

Motion Assist Technologies Inc. d/b/a Volterno (“Volterno”) warrants the motor-assist components of the Volterno Motion Assist Cart to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship under normal intended use for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase.

WHAT THIS WARRANTY COVERS

This warranty applies to the Volterno motor-assist system and its associated components supplied with the cart, including:

  • Electric motor/wheel assembly

  • Motor controller

  • Throttle/control assembly

  • Motor-assist wiring and electrical connections

  • Motor-assist mounting hardware and mechanical components

  • Other Volterno-supplied motor-assist components determined by Volterno to be defective due to a manufacturing defect

If a covered component is determined by Volterno to have a defect in materials or workmanship during the warranty period, Volterno will, at its option, repair the component, replace the defective component, or provide an equivalent replacement component.

LABOR

Volterno will cover reasonable labor costs associated with the repair or replacement of a covered motor-assist component when the work is performed by Volterno or is specifically authorized by Volterno.

SHIPPING

For an approved warranty claim:

  • The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping the product or affected component to Volterno.

  • Volterno will pay the standard shipping cost to return the repaired or replacement product or component to the customer.

  • The customer is responsible for expedited or special shipping requested by the customer.

Volterno will provide return instructions before a warranty return is made.

WHO IS COVERED

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of the Volterno Motion Assist Cart and is not transferable to a subsequent owner.

Proof of purchase may be required to establish warranty eligibility and the warranty start date.

WHAT THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER

This warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Accidental damage, collision, abuse, misuse, or neglect

  • Operation outside the intended use of the product

  • Overloading

  • Improper installation, adjustment, maintenance, or repair

  • Unauthorized modification or alteration of the motor-assist system

  • Damage caused by use of incompatible or improperly specified electrical components, chargers, or accessories

  • Water, immersion, excessive moisture, fire, extreme heat, or other environmental damage

  • Damage occurring during transportation when the product has not been packaged or shipped in accordance with Volterno's instructions

  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality

  • Components or systems not supplied by Volterno, except where otherwise required by applicable law or covered by a separate manufacturer's warranty

BATTERY

The Volterno Motion Assist Cart includes a 24V 10Ah lithium battery.

The battery is covered by a separate 90-day limited battery warranty described below. The battery is not covered by the one-year motor-assist warranty.

BATTERY LIMITED WARRANTY

Volterno warrants the supplied 24V 10Ah lithium battery against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the original date of purchase.

If Volterno determines that the battery has a manufacturing defect during the 90-day warranty period, Volterno will, at its option, repair or replace the battery with the same or an equivalent battery.

The battery warranty does not cover normal loss of battery capacity resulting from ordinary use, charging cycles, age, or normal battery degradation.

The battery warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from misuse, abuse, accidental damage, improper charging, improper storage, unauthorized modification, physical damage, exposure to water or excessive heat, or use of an incompatible charger or charging equipment.

BATTERY SAFETY AND USE DISCLAIMER

Lithium batteries must be handled, charged, and stored properly. Failure to follow the safety instructions supplied with the battery and cart may result in property damage, serious injury, fire, or other hazards.

The customer must:

  • Use the charger supplied with the Volterno Motion Assist Cart and use it only as instructed.

  • Use the battery only for its intended application with the Volterno Motion Assist Cart.

  • Inspect the battery and charger before use and discontinue use if either is damaged, swollen, leaking, excessively hot, or otherwise appears abnormal.

  • Keep the battery and charger away from water, excessive heat, open flame, and other sources of ignition.

  • Store the battery in accordance with the storage instructions supplied with the product.

  • Do not open, disassemble, puncture, crush, modify, or attempt to repair the battery.

  • Do not use a damaged or visibly compromised battery.

  • Follow all charging, operating, transportation, and storage instructions supplied by Volterno.

Volterno is not responsible for damage, injury, fire, property damage, or battery failure caused by misuse, abuse, improper charging, use of incompatible or improperly specified charging equipment, unauthorized modification or repair, physical damage, or improper storage or handling of the battery.

If the battery exhibits unusual heat, swelling, leakage, smoke, odor, or other abnormal behavior, stop using and charging the battery immediately and contact Volterno for instructions.

WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE

To make a warranty claim, the original purchaser must contact Volterno and provide:

  1. Proof of purchase;

  2. A description of the problem;

  3. Photographs or other information reasonably requested by Volterno to help diagnose the issue.

Volterno may require the affected component or product to be returned for inspection before approving a warranty claim.

Do not ship a product, battery, or component to Volterno without first obtaining warranty return authorization and shipping instructions.

If Volterno determines that the issue is covered by this warranty, Volterno will repair or replace the defective covered component in accordance with the applicable warranty.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

This limited warranty provides the remedies expressly described above. Volterno's responsibility under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of defective covered components.

Nothing in this warranty is intended to exclude or limit any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Some states do not allow certain limitations or exclusions, so some provisions of this warranty may not apply to every purchaser.

WARRANTY PERIODS

Motor-Assist Components: One (1) year from original date of purchase.

Included 24V 10Ah Lithium Battery: Ninety (90) days from original date of purchase.

This warranty gives the original purchaser specific legal rights, and the purchaser may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

RETURN MERCHANDISE AUTHORIZATION (RMA) REQUIREMENT

An RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) must be requested and approved by Volterno before any product, battery, component, or part is returned for warranty inspection or evaluation.

Customers must contact Volterno to request an RMA and provide the information reasonably requested to evaluate the warranty claim. If an RMA is approved, Volterno will provide the customer with return instructions and an RMA number.

Do not ship any product, battery, component, or part to Volterno without an approved RMA.

Returns received without an approved RMA may be refused, returned to the sender at the sender's expense, or held pending issuance of an RMA.

Issuance of an RMA does not constitute a determination that the product or component is defective or that the claim is covered under this warranty. Warranty coverage will be determined by Volterno after inspection and evaluation of the returned product or component.

The customer is responsible for securely packaging the returned item and for shipping costs to Volterno. For approved warranty claims, Volterno will pay the standard shipping cost for the repaired or replacement item returned to the customer.
